Level 3 First aid at work training courseThis course is ideal for anyone wishing to become a first aider. It covers a wider range of subjects than that covered by the emergency first aid at work qualification. It provides learners with the skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in higher risk workplaces or workplaces with an increased number of employees.
This comprehensive 3 day first aid at work course is for people intending to act as a first aider at work, the course is designed to provide the first aider with the skills necessary to give effective life support, diagnose and treat injuries or illness, and maintain care and comfort of the casualty.
This comprehensive course equips learners with the vital skills necessary to diagnose and treat injuries or illness, with an emphasis on dealing with life threatening situations until professional help arrives.

Level 3 Award in First Aid at WorkCourse Content, will cover the following topics.
br> Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency, cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
Wounds and bleeding, shock, minor injuries, choking, preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment.
Fractures, sprains and strains, spinal injuries, chest injuries, burns and scalds, eye injuries, poisoning, anaphylaxis, heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma and Ddabetes.
The course consists of several practical exercises which are conducted at various stages throughout the first aid training course.
Assessment will be ongoing throughout the 3 days.
The course is a mix of theory and practical application.
