Manual Handling Training Course
Manual HandlingThis course has been designed for those who's work involves lifting and moving of equipment at work. Apple Group Training and our associated training partners specialise in all aspects of manual handling training.
Statistics show us that 80% of adults will suffer back pain at some point during their adult life, in most cases, many will manage to continue working or return to work within a few days or weeks, despite their pain.
Manual Handling Injuries come under two headings.
1. External Injuries
Which include cuts, bruises, and crush injuries, lacerations to fingers, hands, forearms, ankles and feet. These types of injuries are not normally as serious as:
2. Internal Injuries
Which include muscle & ligament strain & tears, hernias (ruptures), prolapsed intervertebra discs, fractures to bones and injuries to knees, ankles, shoulders and elbow joints.
The principle of prevention is to firstly avoid manual handling where possible by replacing it with the use of mechanical aids, such as sack trucks & trolleys.
£65.00 per candidate, group bookings up to 12 candidates, £450.00, all prices are plus vat.
